THE TOURNEMINE ROWING CLUB

Rowing is an outdoor sport open to anyone from 10 years of age.
Created in 1997, "Les Avirons d'Armor" is an association located on the shore of the River Arguenon, between Jugon-les-Lacs and Pléven, at "Tournemine" (commune of PLEDELIAC). On a 10km stretch of water, in a beautiful setting, you will be able to discover the pleasures of rowing or canoeing. All of the club's boats are suitable for beginners: they are all stable and safe. Each lesson lasts approximately 1 hour 1/2.

Rowing : a complete discipline
It is essential to be able to swim in order to practise rowing, because wearing a lifejacket hinders movement. It is the most complete of all water sports. It requires resistance (strength and speed) and stamina (for long distances) of muscles and heart. It develops the respiratory capacity. Its also requires good coordination and skill, a sense of balance and team spirit.
Wearing a lifejacket is compulsory for people who don't have a permit.
A medical certificate will be requested for any purchase of a permit.


BEGINNERS TRAINING COURSES
From 10 years of age

The Rowing Club offers beginners' training courses : each lesson lasts 1hour 1/2 and can be held on the lake of your choice (Jugon or Arguenon).
Every lesson is supervised by a qualified instructor.

LESSONS MUST BE PRE-BOOKED
Rates :
Private individuals : 8,00 € per lesson
Groups (10 people and more) : 7,00 € per person


CANOE HIRE
Canoe hire in July and August

1 hour : 10,00 €
2 hours : 15,00€
Half a day : 20,00 €

ALL-YEAR ROWING

You can also practise rowing for leisure or competition by joining our association. Prices: from 70,00 € to 100,00 € according to age. Membership of our association gives also access to the following activities:

WEDNESDAY - 2.00 - 6.00 pm: Sailing at Tournemine
FRIDAY - 5.00 - 7.00 pm: Muscle development exercises in Plédéliac
SATURDAY - 2.00 - 6.00 pm: Sailing at Tournemine
SUNDAY - 9.30 am - 12.30 pm: Sailing at Tournemine
