300 hectares of lakes and rivers
Angling is a great way to mix sport and learning. A superb place for lake and river fishing, Jugon les Lacs is sought after for its extensive, well-kept and regularly restocked network of lakes and rivers. The main spots to practise angling in Arguenon-Hunaudaye are Jugon Lake and Lake Arguenon, where you will be able to catch carp, trout, pike or zander.
Jugon lake
Area : 70 hectares
Characteristics: shallow shores, easy and plentiful fishing
Species: coarse fish: carp, tench, coarse, perch, pike, zander
The lake Arguenon (North of Jugon)
Area: 250 hectares
Characteristics: Possibility of night angling (Information: Maison de la Pêche)
Species: coarse fish: pikes, roach, common bream, eel, perch
Angling for disabled people
On the River Arguenon, near a pike reserve, an angling spot has been made to allow disabled people to practise their favourite sport. 4 pontoons are available and can accommodate up to 2 wheelchairs. Predators and coarse fish in particular can be caught in this area.
Regulation reminder
Every angler must have a fishing permit. Permits can be bought in various shops (List available at "la Maison Pêche et Nature").
There is a holiday permit available (carte de pêche) for people staying in Jugon-les-Lacs for a short period (valid 15 days between June and December).
